Jensen Okimoto, Class of 2016

Jensen Okimoto hails from the tropical paradise of Honolulu, Hawaii. Hearing the word "philosophy" for the first time in his freshman year, he fell in love with living "the life of the further question", and quickly decided to major as a "lover of wisdom", while keeping his deep interest in the natural sciences. He enjoys art, music, coffee, tea, biking, wood-whittling, and cooking, among many other activities, and is continually working on uniting his many eclectic loves into a cohesive and lovely life of gift. He sees living in the world as a task of paying attention and seeks to give all he can to act in truth and love. Jensen graduated in 2016 and is now working in the Astronomy Department at Eastern as a researcher and observatory coordinator.
